This boat trip from Split to the Blue Lagoon is the best way to spend half a day. The route goes through three islands: Drvenik Veli, Drvenik Mali, and Šolta. There are departures in the morning and afternoon, and each trip takes about 4.5 hours.
The first stop is Nečujam bay on Šolta. The bay is home to a sunken ship sitting in shallow, crystal-clear water. It is one of the best snorkeling spots near Split. Swim above the wreck, explore the underwater world, or simply float in the calm bay.
The boat then goes to Drvenik Mali. Vela Rina is a beautiful sandy beach on this small island. There aren’t many sand beaches in Croatia, so this stop feels like a secret treasure. The water is warm and not too deep, making it great for families with kids.
The final stop is the famous Blue Lagoon on Drvenik Veli. Turquoise water, small rocky islands, and a bay that looks like it belongs in the Caribbean. This is the highlight of the tour. Swim, snorkel, or paddle around the shallow lagoon. The colours have to be seen to be believed.
All tours run on custom-built Colnago speedboats with a maximum of 12 guests. The boat has an enclosed cabin, WiFi, a toilet, and snorkeling gear included. Because of the small group size, there is more space to move around and more time in the water.
Two departures daily: morning (09:30–14:00) and afternoon (14:30–19:00). As a result, this tour fits easily into a longer trip or a short city break.
Board the boat on Split's Riva waterfront. A quick safety briefing, and then out onto the Adriatic.
The first stop is a quiet cove with a sunken ship on the seabed. Grab your snorkeling gear and explore the wreck. Fish circle beneath you, and the visibility is crystal clear. One hour for swimming, free diving, and soaking up the sun.
A sandy beach that feels like a secret. Shallow, warm water and almost nobody around. This is a place people don't believe exists until they see it.
The famous lagoon. Turquoise water, sandy bottom, sheltered from the wind. Swim, float, or try a Seadoo jet ski ride for an extra dose of adrenaline.
Back to the Riva. Half a day, three islands, and that pleasant kind of tired.
