Luka Colnago started the company. His family has been building boats in Croatia for almost twenty years. This link to boatbuilding isn’t just a part of our history; it’s what makes everything we do possible. Colnago Marine builds each boat in our fleet to fit the Adriatic’s unique conditions. These are not boats that you rent or generic charters that you find in a marina catalogue. They are speedboats made for a specific purpose, with closed cabins, air conditioning, toilets on board, and all the comforts needed for a day at sea. When you board a One Day Escape boat, you’re boarding a vessel specifically designed for this purpose.
Since 2009, our team has been leading guests through the Dalmatian islands. Over the years, we’ve taken tens of thousands of tourists to places like the Blue Cave on Biševo, the mediaeval streets of Hvar town, the Blue Lagoon’s turquoise waters, and many secret coves that most tourists never see. We have a deep understanding of these waters. We know the best places to swim where the water is warmest, the quietest bays where you can anchor without seeing another boat, the restaurants where locals eat instead of tourist traps, and the times of day when famous places are empty while everyone else fights crowds.

One Day Escape d.o.o. is a limited liability company that is based in Croatia. The company was officially founded in December 2023, but it has been doing business under different names since 2009. This long history means that along the Dalmatian coast, you can benefit from more than fifteen years of experience, knowledge, and connections. Držićeva 21, 21000 Split, Croatia, is the registered office’s address.
The Riva promenade in Split is where we run our tours to and from during the season. Our crew is at the waterfront every day from early morning until evening. OIB (tax identification number) 02845081238 and MBS (company registration number) 05886848 are the company’s registration numbers.
We are registered as a maritime and coastal passenger transport company under NACE code H50109. All of the licences, permits, and insurance policies that are required by law are up to date and can be seen upon request. Ana Pelicarić is the director of the company, and Luka Colnago is the owner. Both are hands-on managers who are still involved in the day-to-day running of the business. When you book with One Day Escape, you are booking with people, not a company logo.
We answer your emails, we meet you at the harbour, and we actually care how your day goes. In 2024, we welcomed thousands of guests and brought in over €230,000 in revenue. Our flagship is the Colnago 40. At 12 metres long and nearly 4 metres wide, it is the most comfortable choice for full-day tours and private charters. The spacious deck has room for all twelve guests to move around freely, sunbathe, or gather for photos without feeling cramped. The enclosed cabin protects you from wind and spray on cooler mornings or when the water is choppy. It has comfortable seating and full air conditioning. The twin engines give it smooth, powerful performance, and the hull design cuts through waves instead of bouncing over them. Our pick is the boat for guests who want luxury without sacrificing adventure.
The Colnago 38 is the best bike for everything. It’s a little smaller than the 40, but it can do everything from sunset cruises to island-hopping tours just as well. The seating arrangement strikes a good balance between indoor and outdoor seating, so guests can choose where to sit based on the weather and their mood. Some people like the air-conditioned cabin, while others want as much sun as possible. The 38 is a perfect fit for both of these needs. It is small enough to get to smaller coves that the bigger boat can’t, but big enough to hold all of your guests comfortably all day.
Our quick and nimble choice is the Colnago 27 RIB. This rigid inflatable boat is ideal for short trips between islands, water taxi rides, and guests who like to go fast and get wet. The RIB design makes it very stable and easy to steer, even at high speeds. The smaller size also lets us dock in places where bigger boats can’t. It doesn’t have an enclosed cabin like its siblings, so it’s best for short trips or guests who don’t mind their hair blowing in the wind. The 27 is the best vehicle in our fleet for getting somewhere quickly and easily.
All three boats share a few things our guests appreciate. Each one has a toilet on board, something that is surprisingly rare on tour boats along this coast. The convenience makes a big difference on a full-day trip. After swimming, you can rinse off salt in the freshwater showers. You don’t have to pay extra for snorkelling gear like masks, snorkels, and fins. We supply fresh towels so you do not need to bring your own. If you want to share your experience in real time, WiFi will keep you connected. USB charging ports keep your phone alive so you can take pictures. Bimini shade covers keep you cool in the middle of the day. We are ready for anything because we have all the safety gear we need, such as life jackets for all sizes, fire extinguishers, first aid supplies, and emergency communication gear.
There can be no more than twelve people on any boat. This is a choice, not a restriction. Some operators cram as many as fifty passengers into larger boats to make more money. We think that small groups make things better. More room to stretch out. Fewer people means more time in the water at each stop, and a crew that actually gets to know you. Group Boat Tours depart from Split daily during season (mid-May through mid-September). We offer the 3-Island Tour (half-day, Blue Lagoon, Šolta, Drvenik), the 4-Island Tour (full-day, Brač, Pakleni, Hvar, Šolta with lunch included), and the 5-Island Tour (full-day, Blue Cave, Vis, Budikovac, Pakleni, Hvar with lunch included). Maximum 12 guests per boat.
Private Charters offer exclusive use of the boat and crew. Choose your vessel, set your schedule, and design your own itinerary. Available year-round, weather permitting.
Water Taxi Transfers provide fast, direct transport between Split and the islands. Available 24/7. Split to Hvar approximately 45 minutes, Split to Brač approximately 30 minutes.

All prices are in Euros and include VAT. Tour prices include skipper, fuel, safety equipment, insurance, snorkeling gear, towels, WiFi, and refreshments. Full-day tours include lunch. Not included: Blue Cave entrance fee (approximately €15), alcoholic drinks, and gratuities.
Group tours require full payment at booking. Private charters require 50% deposit with balance due 7 days before departure. We accept credit/debit cards, cash, and bank transfer.
Minimum age for group tours: 3 years. Children under 4 travel free on most tours. Parents are responsible for supervision at all times. Life jackets in children’s sizes are available.
Consult your doctor before booking if you have heart conditions, recent surgery, mobility issues, are pregnant, or suffer from severe motion sickness. If prone to seasickness, take medication before departure. We carry first aid equipment.
You are in charge of your things during the whole trip. We are not responsible for things that you lose, steal, break, or leave behind. The boat moves, there isn’t much space, and things fall into the water. Put your valuables in a zippered bag or a safe pocket. Use a waterproof pouch for your phone. Leave things that can’t be replaced at your hotel. Salt water quickly damages electronics.
Before you get off the boat, make sure to check your seat, the cabin and any compartments you opened. Call us right away if you forget something. We can’t guarantee that lost items will be found, but the crew checks the boat after each trip, and we keep a lost and found.
Croatian law says that we have to have passenger liability insurance, hull insurance, and third-party coverage. We are not responsible for injuries or losses that happen because of your own actions, not following instructions, pre-existing conditions, water activities, third-party services, or events that are out of our control. It is highly recommended that you get travel insurance.
We only collect the personal information we need to provide our services and follow GDPR and Croatian data protection law. We do not sell your information. You can find our full privacy policy on our website. To use your data rights, email info@onedayescape.eu.
Our crew may take photos or videos during tours for use on our website and social media. If you prefer not to appear, let the crew know at the start and we will respect your preference. If you share photos or videos from your trip publicly, you grant us permission to repost or use that content for marketing, with credit where practical. We love seeing guest photos, so tag us and share your experience.
These Terms are governed by Croatian law, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of courts in Split, Croatia. If you are an EU resident, this does not affect your rights under local consumer protection laws, and you can use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr. Legal claims must be filed within one year unless local law requires otherwise. If any part of these terms is found invalid, it will be adjusted to the minimum extent needed while all other provisions remain in effect.
