About this tour

This Blue Cave tour from Split is the best way to see the Dalmatian islands. Biševo, Komiža, Stiniva, Budikovac, and Hvar are five places you can visit in one day. The route goes through the best parts of Vis Island, including secret beaches and the famous cave that glows blue. There are only 12 guests at a time, and the boat is only for small groups.

Blue Cave

This Blue Cave tour from Split is the ultimate Dalmatian island adventure. The route covers five destinations: Biševo, Komiža, Stiniva, Budikovac, and Hvar. Ten hours on the water, five stops, and memories that last a lifetime.

The day starts early with a cruise to Biševo island. Only 15 people live here. The main attraction is the legendary Blue Cave, a natural wonder where sunlight enters through an underwater opening. As a result, the entire cave glows in shades of electric blue. Best seen in the morning when the light is strongest.

Komiža and Stiniva

If time allows, the boat stops at Komiža on Vis island. This fishing village feels frozen in time. Old stone houses, fishing nets drying in the sun, and no crowds.

Next is Stiniva bay. Voted Europe’s best beach, this hidden cove sits between towering cliffs. The entrance is so narrow that the beach stays empty even in peak season. White pebbles, crystal water, and complete silence.

Budikovac and Hvar

From there, the boat heads to Budikovac. This uninhabited island has a shallow lagoon perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Turquoise water, no buildings, no noise. Just nature.

Lunch is served on the Pakleni Islands before the final stop in Hvar town. Walk the marble streets, climb to the fortress, or grab a drink by the harbour. Around one hour of free time to explore.

The boat

All tours run on custom-built Colnago speedboats with a maximum of 12 guests. Enclosed cabin, WiFi, toilet, and snorkeling gear included. This Blue Cave tour from Split is the longest and most adventurous option available.

Itinerary

Early departure from the main waterfront. Coffee on board as the city fades away and the open sea takes over.

The moment everyone's been waiting for. You enter the heart of the cave in a small rowboat. When the sun hits the underwater entrance, the sea lights up silver and the walls turn vivid blue. The moment is brief, but it stays with you forever.

Komiža on Vis Island retains the flavour of a Mediterranean fishing village even though it is becoming increasingly popular as a beach resort. A jumble of pleasantly ramshackle 17th and 18th-century houses crowd around a port and bay at the foot of Hum hill.

Pass by Stiniva Cove

A place where you feel like the sea touches the sky, surrounded only by the crystal-clear sea, nature and serenity.

A gorgeous chain of wooded isles that stretches out immediately in front of Hvar town with the crystal-clear waters, hidden beaches and deserted lagoons.

Situated in the picturesque nature, facing the southern side of the world, that has given it all Mediterranean attraction and cheerfulness; facing sea, that gave it splendid and repeatable history, Hvar is an inexhaustible treasury of the scenery, atmosphere and adventure.

We are back in Split at 18:00

Back to the Riva as the afternoon sun paints everything in gold. Ten hours, five islands, and a day filled to the very last moment.
